Update 1: I am still deciding on what my concept is, but I want to incorporate the aurora borealis. After a long day of hard farming, sailing, or fighting, staring out at the winter night sky just sounds like a nice time. That is feeling I want to capture.

Reference: I began collecting references or landscapes, architecture, props and material details. The board will grow as the project continues!

Update 2: I made some block outs in blender to test out some composition ideas.

Update 3: Still deciding on composition and block out. Currently throwing things at a wall and seeing what sticks. but I wanted to set the mood and get some of the VFX out of the way.

First time diving into Gaea, but I wanted to get some quick mountains into the scene. I also added some trees as well.

Took a break last weekend, but I am back with some more progress. Made my assets more tillable, threw on a basic color texture and still figuring out snow materials for the roof.

I spent a little too much time experimenting with different building ideas. But this concept will probably be the one I am sticking with. Now I can finally move on from block outs and start creating finalized assets.

Love that you have the front boards overlap correctly on the roof! Fences are so good.
Only feedback would be to maybe look on rounding the top of the doors, avoid a square entrance for a more traditional feel, though that may depend by what references you are using.

Spent the past two days sculpting and designing the main door way. more sculpting and detailing will come over the next few days. But I am happy with the direction.

Wasn't happy with my previous wall assets, so i spent some time learning RGB masking. Definitely adds a lot more detail and variety to the wood pattern.

Continued to make adjustments to the main building. The main things I will focus on for the rest of the challenge is finalizing the main building designs, dock, and revamping the landscape.
