Final Steps
With less than two weeks left in the challenge, i'm trying to progress as fast as i can without losing quality and care put into the asset. A bit behind schedule as my last post mentioned. I decided to create two different texture sets for the Halberd, aiming for a better quality in the close ups and beauty shots, while that may lose some points "optimization" wise and wouldn't necessarily be the correct decision for an in-game prop (depending on the game i guess), i felt the need to try and create the best textures that i can output.
I spent more time than i wish i did on optimizing the asset and UVs, so now i have only around 12 days to texture. So far i have laid in some basic texturing in some parts and less basic texturing in others. The challenge for this will be to make every different part of the asset come together and work well as a whole.
Since there's not that many days left in the challenge. i'll try to post updates more frequently so that the evolution of each part and the halberd as whole is visible. I'm curious to see how it's gonna look and happy with what i have achieved so far.
