When I read the info on the challenge and browsed thru the assets, my first thoughts were the CaLiMa scene in Planet of the Apes and the movie Waterworld - a world reshaped from the bones of what came before. I thought of how people, stripped of abundance, would inevitably turn to what remains: repurposing relics, scavenging scraps, and breathing new life into forgotten shapes.
This became the seed for The Nest - a cliffside refuge built from the wreckage of modern industry by people who inherited the ruins of a forgotten civilization and reimagined them as sanctuary.
It is survival by ingenuity, a community born from the stubborn refusal to vanish.
The Nest is a hidden vantage point, precarious and resilient - from here, one can see across the ocean and sense what dangers may come with the waves.
