When I saw this during my research time, I knew it was for me. After Gathering the references, The first step is to create the basemesh, Used Zbrush for this step, used the spotlight tool to draw the reference picture on a plane and then trace the silhoutte using Zmodeller, making sure that the basemesh Silhoutte is accurate with the reference. Have my rest day Yesterday and Decided to watch videos about Phurba's dagger and its history to make sure that the asset is historically accurate in some way. and found out that my main blocking and silhouette were wrong, So today decided to correct that and also fix the blocking of the serpent head so that when I proceeded to do the high poly and sculpt it, I would have no problems [upl-image-preview url=https://community.sierradivision.com/assets/files/2024-06-04/1717482498-572139-2.jpg]

It's been a while, I apologize. I have Been Busy these past few days, So I just started the high poly pass and started sculpting. Started the low poly pass and baking test with the dragon head of the dagger, duplicating the sculpted dragon head and ZRemesh it to create a quick lower poly version and cleaning it up using Zmodeller and tested the bake at substance painter, everything is good and clean, No artifacts, will proceed to make the low poly of other parts [upl-image-preview url=https://community.sierradivision.com/assets/files/2024-06-09/1717937291-94931-10.jpg]

For the bake test, there were no artifacts and no issues, So we will continue with the following three pieces.

Quick update, done on Retop and UV almost done

Done with the UV, I used this time to learn RIZOMUV and the results are good, proceeded to baking and texturing

Phurba - Sacrificial Dagger
Finally, I am finished. Here's my submission for the Himalayan Prop Challenge: my Phurba artwork. If we compute all my working hours for this, it will only be around ten days or less. I was so busy last month because of school and some freelance work, But I did my best for this piece and pushed all my skills from sculpting to texturing and rendering. I am so happy with the results, seeing my skills improving and learning new software like rizomUv and other stuff, thanks to the feedback from the people from this community. Thank you, guys, a lot. I hope you like it.
