Given that I've been busy the past few weeks, I still want to attempt participating. I aim to push my modeling skills, especially with ornamental details, and see how far I can take my texturing. For this, I’ve chosen a prop with a strong contrast in materials and definitions: a Tibetan sword known as the Dpa'dam.
This specific sword is legendary, forged with the highest quality ores of its period. It was held by the Mongol commander Sengge Rinchen during the Second Opium War in 1860, while battling Western colonial forces. As the British forces won, Lieutenant Edward Henry Lenon captured the sword at the Battle of North Taku Fort.
