I have read the terms and conditions and and am eligible for prizes
I picked this odd teapot for the challenge since I wanted to see if I can take my sculpting to a new heights. I also chose it due to having a lion as a handle (I love cats lol)
So here are the references I have gathered and set up on Miroboard.
-I broke down the shapes as basic I can to make the progress easier.
Handle Reference (Snow lion)
As it turns out, the lion on the handle is called a snow lion. I will add a short summary of what they represent in the culture.
Summary of the Snow Lion
In Himalayan history and culture, the snow lion holds significant symbolism, often representing strength, courage, and fearlessness. It is a mythical creature, believed to dwell in the highest mountains, particularly associated with Tibetan Buddhism. The snow lion is often depicted as a majestic and powerful creature, with a white coat and a flowing mane. In Tibetan Buddhist art and literature, it is sometimes portrayed as the mount of various deities, representing their transcendence over worldly obstacles. The snow lion's presence in Himalayan culture reflects the reverence and awe held for the majestic landscapes and the spiritual journey associated with the region.
