Inspiration
For this challenge, I chose this copper teapot from Tibet made around the 18th - 19th century. I looked through many interesting museum pieces from the region, daggers, spears, a cup made of a human skull, and many others but I felt the most affinity for this teapot.
One reason is that I feel that thanks to the strong silhouette of the teapot it will be able to dominate a shot by itself while I wasn't too sure about that with some other objects.
The second reason is that I like the design of the teapot. I like the materials used and the patterns and I am looking forward to recreating it and making it as photorealistic as possible.
The third reason is scope. I only have a month to make this prop after work and if I picked too complicated of an object I wouldn't have time to give it enough polish in the final stage. I want to take time to light and render this object with proper care. At the same time, I feel this teapot is still complex enough to show my skills.
