Hello everyone!
Days ago, I started gathering references for the challenge, searching on stores & museum websites.
My purpose was to identify the main materials and shapes in props from the himalayan region. I put many props to see what I'd like the most to make.
I'm addicted to coffee and these Ewers were very lovely, so I decided to go this way. I pretty liked the way the main reference for the challenge showed the main prop by putting another one behind, so I heard about the "Prabhamandala" which is some kind of "ornament commonly place behind statues to indicate their hallowed status".
Meantime, I began a 2D concept to better see what could the scene look like, thinking about some divine coffee ewer with a glowing tablet.
Then I started a 3D blockout and I pretty like the result, simple but effective.
My workflow will be to start with Maya to blockout and make 3D hardsurface meshes, Zbrush for highpoly and organic surfaces, then bake it into Substance 3D painter after making UV's, so I could texture it all and make a nice scene on Marmoset toolbag with multiples renders.
